QA/QC & AI Software Tester

Plankore is a VC-funded US-based startup building AI that truly understands construction blueprints — not just pixels, but structure, intent, and cross-sheet reasoning.

The role

We're looking for a QC/QA to test our web app and build a repeatable QA process from scratch. This is hands-on testing first, process second. We don't need heavy documentation — we need someone who reliably finds what's broken.

Scope includes:

• Manual functional and regression testing across our core user flows
• Cross-browser and responsive/mobile testing
• Write clear, reproducible bug reports (steps, expected vs. actual, screenshots or screen recordings)
• Test AI/LLM-powered features where outputs aren't deterministic
• Build and maintain a lightweight test-case checklist we can run before each release
• UI/visual consistency checks — spacing, states, edge cases, error handling
• Optional: set up basic automated smoke tests

You're a good fit if you have

• At least 3–5 years of testing experience
• A sharp eye for UI detail and edge cases, not just happy-path clicking
• Experience testing AI/LLM-powered features where outputs aren't deterministic
• Strong written English and bug reports that engineers don't have to ask follow-up questions about
• Comfort working async with minimal hand-holding — you'll get access, a staging link, and a rough spec
• Bonus: familiarity with our stack — Ruby on Rails and Rust on the backend, PostgreSQL, Next.js frontend with real-time features over websockets, running on AWS/Kubernetes with Terraform

Logistics

• Hour-based rate, 10–20 hours/week to start; might lead to a full-time role if we see fit
• One 30-minute meeting with developers per week (9am–5pm GMT+7), otherwise async
