A tour of the project workspace
Where everything lives — the section nav, left and right panels, toolbar and status bar.
Open any project and you'll see:

1. Section navigation (top)
- Project Details — project name, sharing summary, Project settings (measurement units, sales tax), your Takeoff files and Related documents with processing status per file, retry / download / delete. See The Project Details.
- Plans & Takeoffs — the drawing canvas where you measure. This is where you'll spend most of your time.
- Estimates — a spreadsheet-style view of every priced object with quantities, unit costs, markup and totals; Export to Excel or PDF.
- Share — invite teammates and manage who can edit or view.
2. Left panel — pages
Two tabs:
- Page Preview — thumbnails of every sheet. Rename a page inline, see its scale chip (Set scale or the current scale), and remove/restore pages.
- Page List — the same pages as a tree you can put into folders, reorder by drag, and search.
Drag the panel edge to resize it, or collapse it to get more canvas.
3. Canvas and toolbar
The toolbar has Move, Pan, zoom controls, Measure, Calibrate Scale, the drawing tools (Area, Linear, Count), Undo/Redo, and the AI takeoff menu — which also holds Find text (⌘F / Ctrl+F) and Find symbol. The AI detections in that menu need a Pro plan; Find text and Find symbol work on every plan. The Advanced menu toggles overlays such as OCR / Text and Confidence badges.

4. Right panel — takeoff, properties, AI
- Takeoff — every object you've drawn, grouped by folder → page → object, with New folder, Assemblies & Parts, and a search box. Rename, recolor, show/hide, group into sections, move between folders. Click a row and the canvas jumps to it.
- Properties — the selected object's name, CSI Division, color and Takeoff data (Count, Linear Total, Area, Thickness…), plus formula inputs.
- AI Bid (Pro plan) — generate, price and export a bid.
5. Status bar (bottom)
Current Scale (or Not set), Units, Snap: On/Off, page navigation (first / previous / next / last), the save indicator — Saved, Saving… or Unsaved — and the zoom level. Everything saves automatically.
