The control bar runs along the bottom of Plans & Takeoffs.

The left side of the control bar: Scale, zoom, Saved and page navigation The right side of the control bar: Units, Orthogonal, Highlights and Snap

Left and middle

  • Scale: the page scale, or Not set. Click it to change it. See Set the page scale.
  • Zoom: the zoom level. Click it to fit the page on screen.
  • Save status: Saved, Saving... or Unsaved. Your work saves automatically.
  • Page: go to the first, previous, next or last page, or type a page number and press Enter.

Units

Switches the whole project between Imperial and Metric. Quantities, scales and the scale list all change to match.

Only people who can edit the project can switch units. Everyone else sees which units the project uses.

Orthogonal

When Orthogonal is on, lines you draw lock to horizontal or vertical. It's off by default.

  • Press O, or click Orthogonal, to turn it on or off.
  • Hold Shift while drawing for a quick straight line without turning Orthogonal on.

Highlights

When you drag a box on the plan with Move, Plankore highlights the words and lines it found inside the box in green. Highlights turns those marks on or off. It's on by default and turns back on when you reload.

Press H, or click Highlights, to switch. It doesn't hide your shapes or your Find text results.

Snap

With Snap on, your clicks snap to nearby points while you draw or move a point: corners, midpoints and edges of your shapes, and the lines on the plan itself. A small dot shows where the click will land.

Press F, or click Snap, to turn it on or off. Snap needs Plankore Pro. On other plans it's off and greyed out.
